OPTICONNECT: Vendor Compatible SFPs
The SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) and the SFP+ (10 Gigabit variant) are compact transceivers for data and voice communications. It is the I/F from switch or router to fiber optic network (WDM). The SFPs are designed for several protocols such as SONET, Gigabet Ethernet and Fiber-Channel. The SFP is the former GBIC (Gigabit I/F Card).
COMPATIBILITY
- With Cisco, Hp, 3Com, Extreme, Nortel, ZTE, Huawei, Alcatel, ZyXel, Avaya, Juniper and Enterasys.
- Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) allows for the monitoring of temperature, voltage, optical budget, etc. of the SFP.
