AUDAX: Body Worn Video Technology
Audax® are worldwide leaders and Pioneers in developing Body Worn Video (BWV) technology. Audax work in partnership with the Police, Emergency Services and the Security Industry to provide BWV solutions that meet “evidence secure” technology requirements.
The Audax team consists of some of the most knowledgeable experts in the industry which also means that, as well as ground breaking innovative solutions, Audax also offer a wealth and depth of experience and excellent customer service as standard.
They started with product demonstrations in July 2005 at a G8 Summit and led the World in 2006 in a joint project with the UK Home Office, which led to the first ever standards and guidance document for BWV being produced. In recent years they have again led the UK Security Industry as they were the First UK Security SME ever funded by the European Union Research and Innovation H2020 Instrument in a Phase 2 project. This project culminated in March 2018 with the hosting and visit of The European Union Commissioner for Security Sir Julian King and at the same time were the Communications Systems Award winner at the Counter Terror Business awards.
Headquartered in Plymouth, the Historic Port City where the founders and early settlers of America, Australia and New Zealand all departed on their epic journeys, and from where the first ever Transatlantic flight landed. Audax continues with a global reach having satellite offices in both Northern England and Brussels, Belgium this has enabled Audax® to liaise better with their customer base and partners and it is in this ‘partnering approach’ that has led to another industry ‘First’. City of Westminster College is Central London’s Top Vocational FE College and in collaboration with Audax®, the College is now running the first accredited Body Worn Video (BWV) course.
Their award winning product BIO-AX®, is the next-generation complete Body Worn Video Camera ‘eco’ system, from Audax®, that ‘fuses’ secure evidential video gathering with active user protection and provides a live streaming of video and audio footage (via 4G or Wi-Fi) from BWV to a command centre. Bio-AX® meets both BS EN 8593:2017 and the requirements of the UK Home Office Technical Guidance published in July 2018.

The Audax DEMS (Digital Evidence Management System) is fully integrated in the Docking Station Solutions for the 19-1 Camera and Chest Camera solutions
Docking Station Solutions for the 19-1 Camera
- Automatic downloading. When a camera is connected, videos are automatically downloaded and stored (as per storage location).
- Automated data compliance. Following “successful” download, all data is automatically deleted from the camera.
- Bulk upload. Upload video from up to 8 cameras at the same time.
- Multiple labels. Records details of camera, date, user and location with each video.
- Ease of sharing. Export video files directly, or burn to DVD/CD
